I don't know if I missed something in the instructions or on the box, but I didn't see anything about there being a cartridge included and I was having problems getting the converter to fit. I finally looked up some YouTube videos in an effort to find out what I was doing wrong, and it turns out one cartridge was lodged inside the body of the pen. It came out after I tapped it on the table a few times, the converter fits, and everything is working just fine.
