It is plastic and it is light but does not give a feeling of a cheap pen because it is so pretty. It attaches to my Moleskine daily planner very well. I only hope it is nota brittle material and as I pin it on and off the planner, the clip will not break of.The pen looks really nice with the design I got. Some mentioned that it cannot be refill. Wrong, look at my last photo of the pen with a little hole in the red strip. It is suggested to put an end of a paperclip (or something less sharp that fits there) and push inside for the push pen button to come off, replace the refill and put the push button back on. I did not try it but there is a video on YouTube showing how to do it.For me there is only one minus, I would prefer a tip to be 0.5 mm, not 1 mm and I am partial to a blue ink. But is still writes nice, looks like, it is practical staying on the planner, so I like it a lot.It is comfortable to hold, so all is good. I bought another design as well.I only hope to be able to find the refills. Moleskine company customer service is not good. I already reached out to them with questions regrading this pen, but they just refuse to give a straightforward answers. After few back and forth emails, I gave up.
