These nibs are great, and the added tip covers are nice as well, if you ise your Ape Pencil as much as I do and if you have a matte film on your screen for the enhanced writing texture that IMO greatly improves your handwriting and drawing abilities then you will notice that the nib tip covers do in fact quiet the friction noise but they wear out very quickly so I only use the tip covers when I need to cut down on the noise that accompany using an Apple Pencil on a matte film. This is great, however this isn’t even close to the best feature of these nibs. The best feature of the nibs is how they are designed, they have a small bulbous point that at first you think “oh that is to keep the tiny black covers on” but you soon realize if you own other metal tipped nibs that the small bulbousness is actually to keep the metal tip from wearing down and becoming sharp enough to cut your matte film or scratch your glass. In my first picture you can barely make out what appear to be scratches in the matte film when in truth they are micro cuts from my previous nibs, you can see in my second pic how the other metal tip(white one) has worn down and become sharp on the edges, you don’t realize this until you are writing or drawing and the nib catches on the screen almost like it skips but once you pull off the screen you realize it wasn’t a skip or a catch it was the nib micro-cutting the film Has have had to replace the matte film 3 times and the glass screen protector underneath it once due to this issue, the first time I thought that my matte film was just really scratched all over from use, I do a lot of writing and drawing, but when I replaced it, some of the “scratches” were all the way through the film that is when I realized that the nibs were making actual cuts not scratches and that was when I realized that in the exact same spots as these micro-cuts were physical scratches that could not be wiped away a good quality microfiber cloth. I am extremely happy with these and will be ordering them again, let’s hope Amazon doesn’t have to send them to me twice the next time, the first delivery was missing the product in the sealed packaging but they and the nib tip covers that come in the plastic card are tiny so I assumed that when the packager went to drop them in the plastic bag to send them to me the small box in pic 3 missed the opening and fell on the floor and the technician just didn’t catch it, something very easy to do. My only real criticism is that the tip covers need to be deployed differently (what that looks like I don’t know) and for $9.99+tax there needs to be at least 2 more nibs (total of 4) and twice as many tip covers based on how fast I am wearing them out.
